Realistic Expectations and Post Care Instructions
It is important that we understand your desired result. Therefore we recommend coming into your appointment with your brows already filled in the way you normally would everyday. Please do not worry whether you do your brows correctly or not, this helps us to better our understanding about your daily brow makeup routine, so that we can recommend the right technique for you.
A pre face-to-face consultation is not required. The shaping and measurement is very precise that, it would be done at the time of the appointment.
At the start of the appointment, we will map your brows accordingly to the Golden Ratio measurements of the face.
Then, we will draw the shape for you to see, approve and make any necessary adjustments based on your specific desires.
Eyebrow treatments are not cookie cutters, as we embrace the uniqueness of your beauty features. The art of semi-permanent eyebrow should work beautifully to your own natural shape. We will assess all possible points and make professional recommendations in terms of balancing symmetry, pigment choice and choosing the most suitable technique.
We also encourage you to do as much research as possible. This helps both of us to be on the same page during the appointment.

Pre-Care Instructions
-
Arrive 30 minutes in advance before your appointment time for numbing process.
-
Coming with eyebrows filled in is preferred. We want to better understand your daily makeup routine.
-
Bring yourself a pair of earphones. Make yourself feel as comfortable as you can.
24 Hours prior to appointment:
-
Showering before your procedure is a good idea, since you will not be able to get your new eyebrows wet for 24 hours. This will allow your pores to open up for better pigment penetration.
-
Do not drink alcohol (i.e. wine, beer), coffee or any stimulants (i.e. energy drinks, tea, fat burners, electrolytes, etc.) This will thin your blood and make you bleed more during the procedure, especially with Microblading technique due to its invasiveness.
-
Do not take Aspirin/Advil or pain relieve meds, Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Fish oil, etc. This will make you bleed more during the procedure. Bleeding too much can lead to difficulties in implanting the pigment, especially with Microblading technique due to its invasiveness.
2 Weeks prior to or after appointment:
-
Please wait 2 weeks after the brow procedure, if getting Botox/Filler on the forehead.
-
If getting Botox/Filler before the brow procedure, please allow 2 weeks for it to settle.
-
Please plan this in advance, last minute reschedule (less than 72 hours notice) will result a fee. Eyebrow procedure involves pressing and stretching the brow area, therefore Botox can still shift if not stable.
** As brow artists, we can enhance and balance the shape to "enhance" it. If you are looking to "correct" a significant asymmetry due to differences in bone structures, forehead muscles, etc. We recommend getting Botox before or after Microblading/Semi-Permanent Makeup Brows.
3-4 Weeks prior to or after appointment:
-
Chemical peel: Either get it 3-4 weeks before or wait for 3-4 weeks after brow procedure. The skin is too new and thin.
-
Tanning: Either get it 3-4 weeks before or wait for 3-4 weeks after brow procedure.
-
Retin--A or Retinol on the forehead area: Stop using 3-4 weeks prior to brow procedure, or wait for 4 weeks after.
-
Waxing or tinting: Either getting it 1 week before or wait for 2-3 weeks after.
-
Visitors will not be allowed in the room.
-
Please review the After care form for downtime before booking.

Realistic Expectations and Post-Care Instructions
Nanoblading/Semi-Permanent Makeup Eyebrows is a method designed to create a more natural result. The purpose of the procedure is to create a natural and realistic effect on your eyebrows, making it appear fuller, youthful, to fill in gaps and correct an undesirable shape and improve symmetry.
What to Expect
-
Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing process. Right after the application and following the next 7-14 days, the pigment may appear very dark and sharp. Your eyebrows may look like they are “painted on.” Do not panic! Expect it to be darker than original implanted pigment. This is because the pigment is still sitting on the top and has not yet settled into the skin completely. The color of the pigment will soften after 2 weeks and will be lightened by 40-50% as they are healing.
-
Some temporary redness may occur if you have sensitive skin (especially oily skin type). This will subside. You may feel tightness around your eyebrow area for the first week.
-
Once the healing taking place, there will be dandruff flakes and dry skin. This is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows through scabbing.
-
Itching is absolutely normal as the skin is regenerating itself and new skin is forming. DO NOT PICK! Picking can lift color and pigment from the treated area resulting in unevenness and blank spots. Please let the brows flake off naturally.
-
Depending on your body’s regeneration, age, immune system and lifestyle that may contribute to the healing process. During the healing process, skin may appear peeling or scabbing, color may look weak, pinkish or grey. This will not be your final result. It takes a full 5-6 weeks or more for your true color to resurface. Please be patient and wait until you are fully healed before critiquing your eyebrows. Any refinements can be addressed at your follow up visit.
-
The way you take care of your eyebrows during the healing process plays an important role in the way it looks after it is healed. Improper aftercare may result eyebrows to be faded or patchy. Please read carefully the aftercare instructions on the following pages.
-
Keep in mind that because of the natural skin regeneration, after the recovery period brows might appear lighter than original, some original hair strokes/pigment may even fade. It is absolutely normal to have some areas fade more than others. Your skin regeneration is not a process that a technician can control as everyone’s physiology condition is different (i.e. depending on age, immune system, lifestyle, skin undertone, skin types, sebum oil production, hormones, etc.)
-
Microblading/semi-permanent makeup eyebrow is an enhancement to your natural brows that will give them the proper shape that you desired. As time goes by, powdering or penciling in the shape we created is definitely normal. Permanent Makeup is an art and it is not a “no maintenance” treatment, rather it is a “low maintenance.”
During Your Treatment
-
Your artist will go over color choice based on your natural eyebrow hair. Please keep in mind, we cannot implant a color that is the same as your hair dye or highlights. The reason is because semi-permanent makeup is pigment that goes underneath the skin surface, not just sitting on the top like a hair dye. As mentioned, each individual’s physiology is different, taking one step at a time allowing both you and your artist to see how your skin heals. Therefore, we would normally recommend a conservative approach by matching the pigment color close to your natural eyebrow hair in the initial treatment. We can always go darker if needed, in your follow up.
-
Eyebrows are not twins; they can only be sisters. Forehead muscles are different on each side. Expecting 100% symmetrical on your eyebrows is unrealistic. We cannot create eyebrows that are completely out of your natural shape. We can only find the median.
-
Nothing should be done before the 5th week, even if you believe that they are too dark or too light. Your skin needs to completely healed before the touch up. Touch up should be done between 5-6 weeks to ensure the best results.
Previous Microblading Tattoo Work
Your technician will do their best to correct the previous color (reddish, orange, salmon, purple, gray, blueish, greenish) prior to implanting the target color on the top. Additional charge may apply for tattoo cover up. May require a third treatment to achieve your desired correction level.
Microblading is a technique that gives off a natural result, but can be damaging when done the wrong way (such as cutting too deep, incorrect blade size, too many microblade sessions, etc.) resulting Micro-Scarring. Micro-scars are skin tissues that have become harden due to incorrect techniques or from having them done yearly and consecutively. New pigment is not easily absorbed on the top of micro-scars and may require time to settle and a third treatment.
Pigment Tends to Fade Faster When...
-
Clients who use active skin care ingredients such as retinol/retin-A, glycolic acid, AHA, BHA, etc. in their routine.
-
Clients who are on thyroids, hormonal, or certain prescribed medications.
-
Oily skin and red-head clients tend to lose/blur pigments faster than normal skin.
-
If there are scar tissues on the eyebrows, and may need a third treatment.
After Care Instructions
A successful healed result depends on YOUR aftercare. Please follow the instructions very carefully! Like any cosmetic procedure, it is a process. Please be patient, the healing process takes a few weeks before you can appreciate the result. The healing process is at least 4 weeks.
Direct After Care
Will be given by your artist in a print out sheet.
First Two Weeks
-
NO steaming (i.e. sauna, steam bath, swimming, hot bath, jacuzzi). Your eyebrow skin is extremely sensitive at this point; any steam will open up your pores causing pigments to escape. We want your pores to be closed at this point to keep pigment.
-
NO Fitness and any activities that require effort and sweating to prevent pigment loss, uneven fading and patchiness.
-
Tasks include heavy cleaning, moving in/out, yard work, gardening, driving in an opened convertible vehicle etc. where, there is airborne debris will lead to uneven fading and patchiness.
-
Keep your face away from direct water of the showerhead.
-
Be careful of applying makeup too close to the eyebrows.
-
Do not sleep on your stomach where you are faced down onto the pillow, or with your sides rubbing against the pillow. It can remove pigments in certain areas causing asymmetry; not to mention it may cause infection.
-
Botox can be applied after 1-2 weeks.
-
Avoid exposure to sunlight or any other form of UV rays (i.e. tanning, beach, swimming pool). UV rays will make pigment darker and ashy. After Scabs are gone, use SPF.
After 4 Weeks
-
You can proceed with these treatments, as long as they avoid the eyebrow areas.
-
Sea salt, chemical peels, AHA, Retinols, growth serums, microdermabrasion, laser, etc.
-
Tanning, efoliation.
-
Receiving injectables such as Botox/Fillers.
How to Maintain
-
These activities generally will make pigments fade faster if done excessively:
-
Swimming and sun tanning - out in the sun a lot and tanning beds.
-
Exfoliation on the eyebrows when doing facials. Microneedling on the eyebrows.
-
Using Retin-A/retinol products, acidic cleansers, lightening serum, or regular chemical peels on the eyebrows.
-
Wearing makeup on the eyebrows.
-
Oily skin, scar tissue, or on hormone medications such as thyroids.
Touch Ups
-
After completing 2 treatments, Annual touch up once a year is recommended on normal skin to maintain pigment.
-
As mentioned in the first page, each individual physiology is different therefore, fading results will vary based on the individual’s lifestyle and skin type. Some may need to come back for a touch up sooner than 1 year (between 6-8 months).
-
As you are approaching to your one year, eyebrows may get lighter, the shape is less defined. Microblading hair strokes will fade faster than Ombre Powder. Hair strokes can only done maximum 2 times per 3 years. Over done hair strokes may cause micro-scar tissues.
